This morning, August 15 2008, Blog Action Day has launched. In the next two months we hope to encourage thousands of bloggers, podcasters and videocasters to learn about poverty, and on October 15, take action. This might be through posting on the theme of poverty and educating your readers about the issues and actions they might take, it might be donating your day’s earnings – there are many ways you can get involved.

So what’s happened so far? Well in the last 48 hours the blogosphere has proven itself to be a verdant space for grassroots action. Here’s what’s happened so far:

  1. I am counting myself in for this great day . United we stand, divided we fall. Hope I can help shape up this dying world through the voice over industry. I will place the Blog Action Day video up on my blog site and banners and to tell someone about Blog Action Day! I believe, there is still power left behind the inner being of mankind to unleash and save this dying world or bring back its springtime, a wonderful world. Come on world’s bloggers, the entire blogosphere can have such a great role to help eradicate poverty in the world. Blog posts on one single day will have a vital lasting effect which cannot be exactly anticipated in nature, but will almost certainly unique and meaningful in the blogosphere. This is one good start to deal with environmental issues globally to which the G8 movement have fallen short of its goal to solve as such. I believe our letter can kill but it also has the power to give life. Our writings will form a collaborative mass actions that makes our readers concious and engage into the heart of the issue.

  2. I think just exposing the unfair ‘Trade’ deals and the crippling debt the Worlds Banks like to enforce on ALL countries, will go a long way to waking ‘consumers’ to their ‘neglected housekeeping’

  3. I am participating in blog action day 2008 because blog are the best way to share ideas. Blogs are indeed a great source of information.
