| October 5th, 2008 by Easton Ellsworth

A week ago we announced that 28 companies and organizations had decided to throw their weight in support of Blog Action Day 2008.

Each supporting group is adding its voice to our worldwide event on to October 15, when thousands of blogs will address the subject of poverty in front of millions of readers.

Some organizations have committed to give money to poverty relief organizations in connection with Blog Action Day. Others have allowed us to use their resources to spread the word and make this event truly unforgettable.

We thank you, all of you, for making Blog Action Day 2008 a startling power for change in the world.

And now we are thrilled to announce 43 more official supporting organizations, which puts the official tally at 78 … for now. :)

The 43 latest organizations to join Blog Action Day ‘08 (in alphabetical order):

Much More to Come

Guess what? We’re not done yet - not by a long shot. We’ve got more companies and organizations coming to us every day, looking for ways to support our event. As they join, we’ll share the news here.

Thank you so much to every single man, woman and child who is behind Blog Action Day 2008.
